The result of the brilliantly warm Indian summer of 2011, our first vintage is a classic blend of all three Champagne grape varieties. Disgorged in March 2015 after 33 months on lees, this perfectly aged, classically styled sparkling wine is rich, ripe with Pinot fruit very much to the fore. This is combined with a crisp, vivid acidity which balances a core of fine pear and citrus. The finish is characterised by persistent, yeast-complexed fruit reminiscent of hazelnut and brioche. The well integrated dosage suggests a wine with an impressive ability to age, particularly as the Chardonnay component of this blend is still in an early phase.

Pale lemon-green hue with persistent streams of very small bubbles and tight cordon. Aromas are maturing with baked apple, lime accented by toasted nuts with a fresh yeast nuance. The palate, supported by lively acidity, shows lovely flavour definition, round mid-palate and creamy mousse texture. Harmoniously balanced with elegance and length. Glorious wine !

2011 is the first release and what a better way to start with an exceptional ripe vintage! A harmonious wine with bright citrus and peachy aromas. The 6 months ageing in Burgundy barrels adds complexity and richness and it is beautifully balanced with the citrus and ripe apple characters. Not surprising to see that this cuvée has been crafted by the Master of English wine, Dermot Sugrue.
