2013 Classic Cuvée

The 2013 vintage of our Classic Cuvée sparkling wine.

A lingering finish which keeps you coming back for more. Whilst beautiful now, it will continue to gain in complexity for anywhere up to 10-15 years.

“mouthwatering and pristine”

Disgorged in April 2018 this pale, shimmering gold 2013 Classic Cuvée has all the freshness and precision we’ve come to associate with Black Dog Hill’s celebrated fizz over the past seven years.  Extra time on the lees has lent it more texture and depth on the palate while giving the nose greater savoury complexity.  Hallmark lemon zest, quince and apple blossom overlie those freshly baked pastry and biscuit aromas.  The lingering finish keeps you coming back for more, the flavours evolving in the glass each time you do.  This would pair very well with roast turkey as well as all manner of seafood.

    From Robert England “Wine Boar”

Pale gold in appearance, the 2013 Black Dog Hill Classic Cuvée has an attractive lemon-sherbet and ripe green apple nose with an undercurrent of elderflower, quince, fresh pastry and even a hint of ginger. On the palate it’s racy and precise with great length. Mouthwatering and pristine. This would be a fantastic match for oysters or, even better, fish and chips.
